Support Through Grief: A Safe, Compassionate Space for Healing and Growth
I offer a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can explore the complex feelings that come with grief and loss.
I believe that healing is possible and that you don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you are struggling with a recent loss, dealing with lingering grief, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to support you wherever you are on your path.
I use a person-centered approach, which means that you are always in the lead on our journey together.
Together we’ll build a plan and a toolbox that supports you. And I’ll make sure that you have the information you need to make the decisions that are right for you.
You’re not alone. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to help.

Sarah Magee, CCPCPr
Registered Counsellor | Grief & Loss Specialist
Hi, I'm Sarah, a Registered Counsellor with a special focus on supporting individuals through grief and loss. My goal is to create a compassionate, safe space where you can process your emotions, find healing, and move forward at your own pace.
I understand that navigating grief—whether from the loss of a loved one, a significant life change, or any form of personal loss—can feel isolating and overwhelming. My role is to walk alongside you with warmth, respect, and the professional guidance that allows you to heal in your own way.
As part of my training, I completed a practicum with the BC Crisis Line, providing frontline crisis intervention and suicide prevention support to people across the province. This hands-on experience in high-stress, emotionally charged situations strengthened my ability to stay grounded and provide calm, thoughtful care to those in need.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 15 years working in government and advocacy, where I partnered with leaders and policymakers to promote social change, equity, and community-building. This experience gave me a strong understanding of the challenges that individuals and communities face, especially when it comes to loss and injustice. It also taught me the importance of empathy, listening, and creating environments where people feel heard and supported.
I serve on the board of the Greater Trail Hospice Society, where I help support individuals and families navigating grief, loss and end-of-life care. I also work with the Trail FAIR Society, focusing on providing here and now support to individuals in need.
Education:
Registered Canadian Professional Counsellor, RPC-C (2024)

Bachelor of Arts, Political Science – University of Calgary (2010)
